With high intensity interval training (HIIT or Hit). Research has shown it to be more efficient in losing weight, lowering blood sugar, and lowering disease risk in less workout time. Most people can handle this workout because it is brief. You can do just about any exercise that temporarily raises your resting heart rate. Jogging, walking fast, lunges, stair master, eliptical, just about anything!

You can do intervals at extremely high intensity for 20-30 seconds each, or moderately difficult for 1-2 minutes. For best results do 3 intense "bursts" three times per week for a 15-20 minutes session. Always get a health clearance from your doctor before starting.
